How IBeX4 is licensed
One licence model for everyone
Every configured SIP or IAX2 peer is one licence: a phone, softphone, device or trunk. Numbers in your dial plan, such as queues, IVRs, ring groups, DIDs and extensions without their own device, are not counted. The same licence and rates apply to organizations, government and service providers.
Built for larger systems
IBeX4 is sold for systems of 150 devices or more. For smaller systems, IBeXc gives you the same platform, hosted by FTI, at a price designed for smaller offices.
Three parts, no surprises
1. Onboarding fee
A one-time fee for every new IBeX4 customer: kickoff, design review, licence activation, administrator training and handover.
2. Subscription
A monthly licence per configured device and per routed phone number, billed on the 25th for your peak usage that month. The base rate is $3.00 per device hosted by FTI or $2.70 self-hosted, for a minimum of 150 devices. Standard support is included; 7×24 support is optional.
3. Implementation (optional)
Install it yourself, or have FTI carry out the full implementation: installation, configuration, dial plan, migration and cut-over. From $1,500.

Implementation and design services
Full implementation of a standard installation is a fixed fee. Custom installations, including preinstalled hardware, training and implementation support, are designed and quoted to fit.
Billed on actual use
IBeX4 reports your configured devices automatically. On the 25th you are billed for the peak number between the 25th of the previous month and the 25th, so you pay for what you really used. Calls are never cut off over licensing.

How much does IBeX4 cost?

How is billing calculated?
Billed monthly on the 25th, based on your peak number of configured devices between the 25th of the previous month and the 25th. A device is a configured SIP or IAX2 peer: a phone, softphone, device or trunk. Dial-plan numbers such as queues, IVRs and ring groups are not counted. Your whole system is billed at the rate for its size.
Why is self-hosting cheaper?
When you host IBeX4 on your own servers, you take on running the infrastructure, so the device and number licences are 10% lower. When FTI hosts it, you pay the list price plus hosting and we look after the infrastructure.
Is there a minimum size?
Yes, 150 devices. For smaller systems, IBeXc is FTI’s hosted phone service on the same platform.
Do phone numbers cost extra?
Yes. Every phone number routed on your IBeX4 system is licensed at $0.30 per number per month ($0.27 self-hosted), with lower rates for larger quantities, in addition to the device licence. IBeX4 does not supply the numbers themselves; they come from your carrier or through IBeXc.

Does IBeX4 report our usage?
By default IBeX4 reports only the count of configured devices and routed numbers for billing, never call content or call records. High-security installations that cannot share usage statistics can choose custom licensing without monthly usage reports; we are flexible and will meet your requirements.
What happens if we call after hours?
Our phone line is answered around the clock. After-hours technical support is guaranteed for customers with 7×24 support; for customers with standard support, requests received outside business hours are handled the next business day.
Can a service provider make money on IBeX4?
Yes. Providers pay the same rates as everyone, and the rate for the whole system drops as they grow. At typical hosted retail prices, providers keep a healthy margin from a few hundred seats up. Try the provider profit calculator.
Are implementation services extra?
Yes. Full implementation of a standard installation is $1,500 for up to 250 devices and $3,000 for up to 1,000. Custom installations, preinstalled hardware and training are quoted.
Is SIP Trunking included?
No. Use your own provider, or SIP Trunking & IP Interconnection from IBeXc, priced separately.
Is a perpetual licence available?
