Technical questions

What codecs does IBeX4 support?

G.711, G.722, G.729A, G.726, GSM, iLBC and Speex for audio, and H.263 and H.264 for video.

Does IBeX4 support T1 and PRI?

Yes. In a VM or container, through SIP gateways; on a dedicated Debian 13 server, also through telephony cards.

Is IBeX4 based on Asterisk?

Yes. IBeX4’s call engine is based on Asterisk 22, structured, extended and tested by FTI as part of an integrated platform.

Which version of Asterisk does IBeX4 use?

IBeX4 is based on Asterisk 22, the current long-term support release of Asterisk.

What operating system does IBeX4 run on?

Debian 13. IBeX4 installs anywhere Debian 13 runs: a virtual machine, an LXC container (for example on Proxmox VE) or a dedicated server.
